4 exams to be cleared within 18 months
Candidate must clear all 4 sections of 4 hour each to clear CPA Exam. The sections are as follows -
1. Auditing and Attestation (AUD)
2. Business Environment and Concepts (BEC)
3. Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR)
4. Regulation (REG)
Clearing Ethics Module
1 Year of Work Experience
Candidate are allowed to gain experience before exams in some states. Whereas others want you to complete your work experience after passing the exam.
CPA Ethics exam consists of 40-56 MCQs and covers essential accounting ethics concepts. It is an online exam, written at home on your computer, open-book, with 11 hours to complete it. You must achieve 90% in order to pass. AICPA allows you three attempts to pass the exam, before its system blocks you.
Getting CPA License
Candidate must obtain the CPA license within 3 years of passing the exam. If he/she miss that 3-year window, he/she have to retake the exam. First, candidate obtains his state CPA licensing, then he may apply for membership in the AICPA and network with fellow CPAs.
